What will happen if there is a school closure due to adverse weather conditions?
In the event of snow before school starts:
The Headteacher will assess the safety and accessibility of the school site. After agreement between the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors, a text message will be sent to parents to inform of school closure.
The information will also be uploaded to the school website and Northumberland County Council website too. Please viisit:

In the event of the school being closed during the school day:
A text will be sent out, requesting you collect your child from school at the
earliest opportunity. Please do not panic, your child will be supervised by staff until you are able to reach us. A text message via Parentmail will be sent to inform you when school is to reopen and the school website will be updated with this information too.
Please remember to always send your child to school with a warm waterproof coat/hat/gloves and a pair of wellington boots.
