At Morpeth All Saints we are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in our School Council meetings. These school council meetings are in place so that pupils have a voice and are involved in decisions about the school that affect them. Through class discussions all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their class members in reaching a democratic solution. Pupils at Morpeth All Saints know that this is their school and their thoughts and ideas matter.
- School council officials are nominated and then voted in by their class members and elections are held at the beginning of each academic year.
- The school council meet regularly to address issues or ideas that have arisen. They also take part in organising school events to raise funds for school and support local charities.
- The Chair leads the meetings with the help of Mrs Steel and an agenda is followed. The Secretary then makes a note of what has been decided in the minutes.
- Our School Council display their meeting information and minutes from meetings in our school library so that everyone within school has access to the information.

Making A Bug Hotel
The members of the school council looked at suggestions to improve our outdoor area. They decided that they could collect the resources themselves to make a bug hotel, which had been on the class suggestions sheet.
They have now created the bug hotel. This can be added to, to enhance it. If you have any sticks, small logs, garden canes, straw or bark we could use it on the bug hotel.
